Location: Ancient Temple, Tython
Timeline: Day Eleven

"Bomoor should go with you," Thane said, turning to them and giving his close friend a quick glance. "This is a Je'daii temple, after all; you may well need an adept Force user about to get through some of the mechanisms." He threw a thumb towards the Kip and Sev. "I'll go with the gruesome twosome down the opposite way and see if we can find anything." The light deadpan humour on his face became slightly sterner. "But we definitely stay in contact. Every ten minutes, at least. If we can't get a hold of each other, we come straight back here."

Thane stood at the front of his group, but more closely to Sev than Kip as he held his violet lightsaber up in front of them, better lighting the way one of the Mandalorian's probe droids had already mapped. Of course, whilst the mapping was accurate in showing the way, they did not depict rooms or their particular uses, so they were having to check each of the labyrinthine temple's various rooms.

Most so far had simply been empty, former quarters perhaps, and had yielded nothing, yet they pressed on. Thane made sure he was always one step ahead of the other two, however, but close enough to keep both just in eye shot. His senses seemed to be warning him of some level of distrust coming from them both, and whilst he had a fledgling trust of Rezer, he was still a Jedi killer, and Kip-

Well, he did not know what the kark Kip was or what he wanted, which was all the more reason to not trust the Devaronian, always skulking in the shadows. He was starting to think he should have gone with the others, left these two to butt it out between them. But they don't trust you, he thought to himself, although the thought seemed somewhat more involuntary than usual. Bomoor doesn't trust you was a thought that kept coming back to him, too. Had he been wrong to show him the holocron?

"There must be a larger room near here somewhere," he said out loud, trying to ignore his thoughts. He looked to Sev. "What does your scan say? Any bigger rooms that might prove useful?" Thane was also beginning to wonder why they needed to get into that room, simply because it was sealed. They might be just as likely to unearth something in a different room that could help them in their quest.

Kip watched the flows and the auras of the others and considered how the third party was influencing them. Thane and Sev, it was easier on them, since they were already given to the Dark. For Kip, he could hide, blend into the Force Flows, keeping himself invisible. But in doing so he was pushing himself to the absolute limit, he was against a wall and he knew it. He had nowhere to run, no way to jump, there was no way out that he could see based on what he knew about the Force and his few skills as a Flamewalker.

As he waited for Sev to check his wrist computer, Thane noticed Kip's slightly twitchy behaviour. Why was he acting even weirder than usual? Because he doesn't trust you, he thought to himself, still in that slightly more sinister tone that had bothered him earlier. Not even Bomoor trusts you.

That brought him up short and he stopped walking suddenly, causing the other two to halt beside him. Before either of them could make a comment, however, they noticed a doorway, shrouded in a slight, moist mist. "Never mind," Thane muttered to Sev, his tone perhaps more scornful than intended. Then again, the Mandalorian may well have been slowing them down on purpose, planning something against them; it was his way, after all, as both a bounty hunter and Jedi killer.

The former Jedi led them into the room, not interested in either huffs or puffs from Rezer or the Flamewalker. Ever since stumbling across the chamber, his senses had been calling to him, an indistinct feeling that was not unlike Kip Hoddai's own Force signature in his mind. Neither this way nor that, but a peculiar haze in the middle, that was also hard to read. It annoyed him, but in equal parts interested him as he took a few tentative steps in, violet blade still held high to illuminate the room.

"How about you go first?" Thane then suggested to Kip, eyeing the Devaronian as he held himself back from any further steps. It seemed right that Kip should be ahead - just in case. After all, if even Bomoor did not respect him... how on Caanus could Kip ever trust him. It was best to keep him where he could see him.

"What's with you, Thane? Are you blind?", Sev complained. "Turn the kriffing lightsaber off. Grab this glowing globe. I don't want end up in half because you're all edgy and sharp". The Bounty Hunter looked around the room. "The scanner is not getting anything. There's some kind of interference in this room."

The Jedi and the Flamewalker are the same. They would kill you like they killed your family, your clan for no reason. They're murderers.

Sev shook his head as if he was trying to get rid of a fly. "And you, Flamewalker, keep moving. I don't want you at my back. Your kind is known for backstabbing", he said aggressively to Kip. "Move, or I will do something I should have done the moment I laid eyes on you", he added, turning his rifle on Kip.

So, Thane thought to himself, eyes narrowing on the Mandalorian, trying to take charge, eh? It simply proved already that the Jedi killer did not trust him or respect his judgement. He looked down at the glowing globe Sev had given him with a look somewhere between suspicion and disgust, considering the fact it could be a device to harm him.

The Human was about to shove it back towards Rezer when a sudden stab of negativity shot through him, his senses - well attuned to serving alongside Bomoor for many years - instinctively realising his friend was in danger. As Thane took a few steps towards the doorway they had just come through, a far worse feeling then struck him, and in a far greater way than it had with Bomoor. With this one, he was actually having images of a figure that towered over him.

It was only a few short images that flooded his mind momentarily, but he saw this being - clearly a source of dread - holding a datapad. Something obscured his eyes, but he knew already from where this thing came: Velusia... and so knew that it was BerĂa now in trouble.

"They need our help!" He stated to Kip and Sev, not waiting around to explain himself to two men he knew wished him dead before he launched himself out of the room, and back towards the way he believed they had come, that peculiar mist engulfing him and leaving the mismatched pair together alone, the sound of Thane's footfalls becoming more and more distant.

"Thane, wait...!", Sev said. "Krif! We can't go running around in the dark!", the Mandalorian said, pacing around him. He forgot Kip totally as he briskly followed Thane, leaving the Flamewalker alone in the shadows.
