LIST OF DROIDS

This page lists some of the many droid series still in use during the second millennia ABY:

Droid Model Specifications
G2-Series
G2_Series_Blue.png
Class: Astromech Droid
Manufacturer: Nubia Autostar
Description: Designed as an all-on-one ship maintenance robot, designed to work in small spaces where other droids cannot fit due to its unique globe-like chassis and extendable legs.
Notable Droids: G2-O7 (Red Raptor astromech)
G4-Series
G4_Series_Droid.png
Class: Astromech Droid
Manufacturer: Nubia Autostar
Description: The mainstay of most fleets, the G4-series astromech droid serves in all of the typical capacities of a droid of its class, displaying versatility in astronavigation, repairs and logistical tasks. Unlike its G2-series counterpart, it is more obviously designed for larger vessels and has a capacity for increased speed when working in battlefield scenarios.
Notable Droids: G4-3K "Brick" (Rex Vicker's personal droid)
A2-Series

Class: Astromech Droid
Manufacturer: Nubia Autostar
Description: A recent development, the A2-series astromech droid caters predominantly to construction endeavours, working effectively in untamed terrain and delivering a strong service to developing colonies. Like the G4-series, they can attain high speeds on the right surfaces.
Y8-Series
Y8_Series_Droid.png
Class: Astromech/Research Droid
Manufacturer: Arakyd Technics
Description: Specially-designed to operate with minimal impact in clinical environments whilst still having the full capacities of an astromech droid, the Y8-Series has been specifically-developed with minimal personality matrices but exceptionally insightful and adaptive to scientific theory.
J3-Series
J3_Series_Droid.png
Class: Astroprobe Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: Developed during the latter stages of the Second Outer Rim Conflict by GalactaWerks, the J3-Series 'astroprobe' droid operates as a small-scale counterpart to other droids, able to operate efficiently in the field of astronavigation, but containing highly-developed radio and sensory equipment, making it especially effective in the field and for communications.
2-1B (Holographic Series)
21BH.png
Class: Holographic Medical Droid Interface
Manufacturer: Industrial Automaton (Nubia Autostar)
Description: While the original 2-1B Medical Droid model has long since been replaced, its ubiquitous nature for hundreds of years has meant that it is synonymous with medical care and it is still a popular holographic interface for the widely-used holographic droid interfaces. The 2-1BH droid stores a vast library of medical knowledge and, given their ability to interface medical equipment, they can still directly treat patients with even greater capacity than some physical medical droids. Despite this, the 2-1BH interface carries a disclaimer that its use does not serve as replacement for treatment and diagnosis by a qualified doctor.
Notable Droids: 2-1BH "Useless" (Red Raptor medical holodroid)
K30-Series
Protocol_Droid_(2).png
Class: Protocol Droid
Manufacturer: Cybot Galactica
Description: Although now an older model, the K30-series droid and its numerous variants is the most common and most affordable protocol droid currently on the market. Versed in a variety of forms of communication, etiquette and developmental talents, the K30-series is known for its enthusiastic nature and keenness for servitude, although some models have been known to develop pronounced and prudish personalities, but there are next to no recorded cases of independent models operating without owners or companions.
99-Series

Class: Protocol Droid
Manufacturer: Cybot Galactica
Description: A protocol droid designed to work in more formal roles, the 99-series is typically found in service to military and naval figures or within government agencies that do not require frequent involvement with the general public. Not know for their tact or guile, 99-series droids are better suited to logistical tasks, but have also been built with a reserve of military and tactical information, making them exceptionally useful advisers in the field of battle. They saw extensive use in the Second Outer Rim Conflict.
ZT-Series
ZT_Series_Protocol_Combat_Droid_Standard.png
Class: Protocol/Battle Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: A top-of-the-range model of droid only recently developed by GalactaWerks and an unknown partner, the ZT-series comes fitted with high-grade armour that is resistant to most basic energy blasts and has a range of mobility that far exceeds the typical protocol droid. Whilst they can serve the basic functions of protocol droids and host a full knowledge of numerous species' etiquette, ZT-series droids are fully-versed in dozens of forms of combat and are considered one of the most lethal droids built in recent history. Although they are not currently sold on the open market, ZT-series droids are becoming more commonplace, and several are now being employed as bodyguards by the rich and powerful across Republic space.
GWM-1 Series "Battle Droid"
GW_Battle_Droid_Standard.png
Class: Battle Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: A standard battle droid that is used extensively in GalactaWerks operations. Nimble, competent and able to follow instructions, the GWM-1 Series Battle Droid is a basic model that has been widely purchased and deployed across the galaxy, but predominantly by GalactaWerks itself. It was the main footsoldier used by the GalactaWerks-led Third Republic offensives during both Outer Rim Conflicts.
GWM-2 Series "Advanced Battle Droid"
GW_Battle_Droid_Advanced.png
Class: Battle Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: Built during the Second Outer Rim Conflict to face larger numbers of more tactical foes, the Advanced Battle Droid is sturdier, better armed and more expensive than its standard counterpart, and is often found leading squads of GWM-series droids.
GWM-3 Series "Heavy Battle Droid"
GW_Battle_Droid_Heavy.png
Class: Battle Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: With built-in rockets, heavy armour and more advanced mechanisms, the Heavy Battle Droid is designed not only as an operator of heavier weapons, but is also designed to withstand a beating, often serving in a tank-busting capacity.
GWM-4 Series "Destroyer Droid"
GW_Droideka.png
Class: Battle Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: Based on the ancient "Droideka" designs of the generations-defunct Trade Federation of the First Galactic Republic. The GWM-4 destroyer can constrict itself so it can roll at high speeds, and is also capable of deploying a personal shield bubble impervious to most small arms fire. It has optic sensors that work on a 360-degree axis. Unlike its ancient predecessor, the GWM-4 can maintan its shield even when rolling and not in its combat mode. The shield is also more specialised than its precursor, deflecting slower objects.
V1-Series
GW_Battle_Droid_Assassin.png
Class: Assassin Droid
Manufacturer: GalactaWerks Corporation
Description: Developed during the latter months of the Second Outer Rim Conflict, the V1 was designed as a counter to the newly-formed Rift Jedi that supported the Outer Rim Alliance, specially-programmed with anti-Jedi talents and a more officious, aggressive personality matrix. Not sold on the public market and not officially yet used in action, there have been numerous reports of the V1-series being deployed in troubled GalactaWerks regions covertly.
Calvo-series
GW_Worker_Droid.png
Class: Construction Droid
Manufacturer: Wrightsguild
Description: Used across the galaxy on construction sites and shipyards, the Calvo-series of droids was named after its designer. Durable and without personality, Calvo droids have also been heavily-adapted in a variety of circumstances, but are most frequently illegally adapted into tank droids by pirates and other criminal organisations, used to smash down entire buildings and soak up blaster bolts from their foes.
Nimbus-series
Probe_Droid.png
Class: Probe Droid
Manufacturer: Arakyd Technics
Description: Heavily relied upon by the limited Republic Judicial forces, Nimbus probe droids can be found scattered across the galaxy but restricted by galactic law. However, certain legal permissions exist for GalactaWerks and other supportive organisations within the nation, such as the Reborn Jedi Order.
