ABOUT
Star Wars: A New Age takes place roughly one thousand years after the Battle of Yavin (starting in 1,217 ABY, now 1,219 ABY), as depicted in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and is set in the decaying and weak Third Republic, heavily bogged down by the same bureaucracy and corruption that allowed Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to bring upon the creation of the First Galactic Empire.
The sim itself revolves around a small, close-knit group of characters, brought together through peculiar circumstances with a joint goal in mind, as they work together to defeat their foes and shape the future of the galaxy. There is a heavy emphasis on character development and genuinely roleplaying in the Star Wars galaxy; you make your character what you want them to be, and take yourself on a true adventure of epic proportions that will only develop more and more in time, as our story grows in scale and grandeur.
