Flowing in Hyperspace

Kip sat in the middle of the port engine room, the noise and light cut off entirely and only the flows of the thrum of the engines and the air from the envirosys disturbing the silence. He sat with legs crossed and leaning forward slightly, tail curled up around his waist and across his chest over his left shoulder to hang at rest. His breathing was deep and silent, his heartbeat at a slow and steady ebb and pulse, like small waves on the shore.

Though they were still only two days out from Coruscant, Kip meditated as he had almost every day every since he had learned how, extending and developing the skill over the years of apprenticeship and now, as an Operative.

Time had no value, it had no meaning, perception crawled, heartbeats stretched to a long drone without end and in that moment, when time crawled to a stop, perception awoke. Inside Kip’s mind, flows of different-hued translucent energy moved past him where he sat, seemingly upon a flat plane of luminous deep blue energy, tiny flamed licked from his form and trailed into those currently that plunged and enshrouded him, passing through, around, under and over him.

After an eternal now his will flexed itself, a fledgling shivering its wings to find they were really there, damp, weak and unsure what, exactly, to do with them.

As he remained in that timeless moment, he felt his mind drifting into memory and the movements of Trikeeda. The Forms and Postures and the meditations that went with them. First through Uplifting Flames before Dancing Embers, he felt the Force flows around him draw around and eddy with his body, changing their direction and flowing upwards to settle and cloak his body. Spiraling Embers shaped this energy and gave it a purpose,, a direction and spin, a rotation that brought… harmony.

And he began to understand…
