Form of Dress | Kessar, unlike many within the Rift Jedi, does not wear the armour so typically associated with the organisation. Instead, he opts for a different take on the Jedi style, with loose-fitting robes that allow his muscled arms freedom of movement - especially necessary for his practised use of the saberstaff. | |

History | An idealist for the entirety of his tenure as a Jedi Knight, Kessar was nevertheless viewed a strong-willed and powerful Force user from a young age. He was quickly selected by the Jedi Master Jundal Quellus, who saw in Kessar the strength of soul and mind to be a worthy and capable successor to his own and Junuun Waay's Reborn legacy. As master and padawan, the pair were a force to be reckoned with throughout the galaxy. Tangling with dissidents, pirates and dark side users, no task daunted the pair, and Kessar developed a fine reputation within the Order as an obvious candidate for future leadership and the epitome of the righteous Knight envisioned by Waay. However, despite his stark attitudes and fast wit, Kessar was always his own man. Although outward appearances indicated a man forged in the mould of Quellus, Waay and other born of the lineage of the Reborn, his activist beliefs and determination ultimately led him away from the Reborn Order and the meandering of the Third Republic. When faced with what he perceived to be injustices of the Outer Rim Conflict, he walked across the battlefield to stand with the ORA, and he was soon followed by many other Jedi who both respected him and agreed with his viewpoint, having already earned a formidable reputation on both the battlefield and political stand. These Jedi would form the basis of the soon-formed Rift Jedi, a paramilitary interpretation of the Jedi Order, devoted to the defence and freedoms of the Outer Rim Alliance. When peace came, the treaty required recognition and protection for the ORA's staunch defenders. Without the Rift Jedi, the war would have been a complete loss for the ORA with no favourable conditions won at the end. Since then, Kessar has accepted the mantle of commander of ORA's limited Militia forces and has developed the Rift Jedi further as a military organisation, although he only accepts willing recruits of an age, either from within or without the Reborn Order itself. It is understood his relationship with Administrator Stal has become tense, but Kessar shows no true desire to lead the ORA in addition to the Rift Jedi. His ultimate goal would be to see the Reborn Order restructured, and as such, his primary rival is his own former master. |
