Moving forward

To all children of the New Age,
Another year ended and another Star Wars film. Regardless of your opinion on the story, world-building and characters, Episode VIII still promotes discussion about the Star Wars Universe. So, in the spirit of the New Year, here I am to talk about SWANA! Now, Christopher and I have had numerous discussions about the plot and progression from this point. Free time and motivation are always going to be the enemies of this sort of group-driven fiction writing but we have both had a lot of fun in this world (and hope you have too) and are at a point where we would love to pick it up again.
The question is: what format should it continue in and who wants to continue it with us? In order to keep the stories focussed, one idea was that we had the draft for each chapter (and many of the posts within it) completed before going forward. That way, we will know more about where we are going. We can plan it together and then make this available to everyone to have for the duration of the chapter so that we can stay on track. Does this take away some of the spontaneous creativity? Maybe, but we are not talking about pre-writing everything and our character actions and reactions will still shape the story. We can still change track if it seems right but we would just want to address the concern that the chapters can seem a bit endless and aimless at times.
For those that feel they will sadly not get back to writing, we do not want to pull a Poochie/Kip on you (see below) so would love to carry on your characters in some way, shape or form. If you would be happy for those remaining to carry on writing for you, we can take up your mantle, paying utmost respect to the individuals you have crafted.
With all that being said, this is a group effort and we are still a group so, if you want to have your say then please do, either publicly or in the private messenger. Now I have written all that, it seems somewhat negative but I really feel positive about all that SWANA has left to offer and I hope that as many of you as possible can continue to join us on this story. If there is anything I can do to help you get back to joining us, then please let me know (I was considering the idea of us staying more in communication – having some group on an app or whatever).
