Personality & Traits
General Overview | Melliah Glynt is a composed, calculating, and introspective Miraluka with a natural air of dignity and restraint. Every movement and word is considered; she does not waste energy on theatrics unless they serve a purpose. Her manner is cool and distant, yet never devoid of presence. She possesses an intense internal discipline and a strong sense of superiority rooted not in arrogance, but in belief: belief in her destiny, in Axion’s philosophy, and in the inherent truth she sees through the Force. Her emotional insight is a double-edged weapon: she understands others with uncanny clarity but keeps her own feelings guarded beneath a veil of ritual and doctrine. She can be deeply empathetic when it suits her ends, but rarely offers kindness without a calculated reason. Melliah is not cruel, but she is purposeful, and her sense of morality is twisted through the lens of her cult devotion and Emberlene upbringing. She believes in order, legacy, and hidden influence, not in chaos or ruin. Though not physically imposing, her presence commands attention through precision, poise, and an unsettling sense that she knows more than she is saying. She is most comfortable when working from the shadows of politics or within complex power hierarchies: always playing the long game. |

History | Early Life on EmberleneMelliah Glynt was born into a noble family on Emberlene, a world steeped in grief and vengeance since the days of the Galactic Civil War. While the planet slowly healed from its cultural trauma, it retained its martial traditions, particularly within surviving matriarchal bloodlines. Melliah's mother, Veltryn Glynt, was a former operative in Emberlene’s underground shadow networks, and secretly aligned with the enigmatic Cult of Axion. Her father, Larius Opaal, was a quiet academic and geneticist with no public role in Melliah’s upbringing. From birth, Melliah was different. Even for a Miraluka, she possessed powerful Force sight and a natural attunement to emotion and truth. When her Force sensitivity emerged fully in early childhood, Veltryn, bound by an old assassination-debt to the Cult, offered her daughter to Axion’s growing order. Melliah was just six years old when she was taken from Emberlene and initiated into the hidden folds of the Cult of Axion. Training Across the ShadowsMelliah’s formative years were shaped by the wandering life of a cult disciple. From the age of six, she moved between hidden cult enclaves: desert crypts on Jakelia, drowned monasteries on Ord Talavos, and the ruins beneath Dahrtag. Never staying long, always adapting. At each site, she learned more of Axion’s philosophy and grew more devoted: coveting his rare visits and admiring his eternal nature, ever the same. She proved to be an exceptional learner. Her species’ Force sight evolved rapidly, but she honed it into a unique sensitivity to emotions and surface thought, granting her mastery in emotional manipulation and combat foresight. In lightsaber training, she gravitated toward Form II (Makashi) and Form III (Soresu), developing a poised, defensive form that turned patience into weaponry. With Juyo, she learned to tap into sharp bursts of suppressed feeling, making her deadly once a weakness was exposed. Though passed between different tutors, rarely assessed by Axion himself, Melliah attracted attention. By her twenties, she had been invited into the cult’s inner circle; a rare honour granted to only a handful of operatives. She became an envoy, infiltrator, and liaison, trusted with missions of spiritual and political consequence. Her loyalty to Axion was absolute, but her interpretations of his doctrine were uniquely her own: cold, efficient, and always deliberate. For a time, she was one of his close operatives, leading the cult's activities in the wider galaxy. Present Assignment: New AlderaanIn 1,217 ABY, Melliah Glynt was embedded in House Varnath, a minor noble house on New Alderaan, long known for its reclusive customs and eccentric rituals. Once a loyal part of the planet’s old aristocracy, the house had begun withdrawing from public life. Over a decade of covert grooming by Cult of Axion infiltrators had left the family hollow; vessels waiting to be filled. Melliah arrived as a political and philosophical advisor, her status as a noblewoman and seer allowing seamless integration into courtly society. Publicly, she presents as a poised and spiritual figure and advisor to the head of the house. Behind the scenes, she governs the estate as a regional cult coven, orchestrating rituals, indoctrinating retainers, and subtly shifting political tides on New Alderaan. House Varnath now serves as both noble façade and dark sanctuary; a ceremonial mask for the Cult’s growing reach. |
