Physical Description Taking after her mother’s Asiatic features of pale olive skin and dark hair, Ravenna is delicate and beautiful, with lustrous hair that is always pulled back into the most elaborate of styles—varying each day. Her blue eyes are not as potently Jotunn as her father, the Grandsire’s, but it marks her as a Jotunnson just the same, and she is fiercely proud of her family. The princess is at the cusp of womanhood, teetering between what is left of her girlish self and the woman she will yet become
Form of Dress As Dromache’s only Princess, Ravenna is spoiled for choice when it comes to clothing. Her suite of rooms in the Zkavasenna, the palace, are home to an extensive and breathtaking wardrobe that could easily feed an entire Outer Rim planet for a year. Ravenna favors loose silk saris and gowns of rich stitching, beading, and patterns in the hot Summers, and has a host of velvets and furs to choose from in the cold of Winters. As a Princess, Ravenna is not yet bound to only wear the colors of her house—the austere black and gold that she dreads donning. So while she has the freedom to choose jewel tones and vibrant hues, Ravenna is taking full advantage it.

And of course, Ravenna is never wanting for jewels. But it is here that her mother’s careful hand in restraint for her daughter is evident, for all the pieces the princess owns are beautiful and elegant, but never overwhelmingly so.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Cheerful and charming Ravenna has spent her whole life in the lap of the Dromachean court and wealth, and one does not grow up next to courtiers and nobles and not pick up a few tricks along the way. Schooled in diplomacy since she could walk, the princess has trained to exhaustion all things of courtly manner and propriety. Even though she may feel smothered by her royal duties at times, Ravenna takes great pride in her people and even more pride in her House. She did not inherit much from her father the Grandsire, but she did inherit his fierce love for family and is protective of her House’s reputation and legacy. Compassionate and generous to the people, unafraid to break a little propriety to be herself, Ravenna’s popularity with the people is unprecedented.
Strengths & Weaknesses Ravenna is of Jotunn blood, and while that lends her increased mental abilities and wit, her father’s superior strength and agility was not passed to her, as Jotunnson females are often passed over genetically. Nevertheless, Ravenna’s blood is still hot and on occasion has trouble reigning in her passions and emotions—namely anger. Her love of family will often drive her to do many things great things in their honor, but for the time being, most of what Ravenna’s actions are selfish in nature, and at times, born from insecurity.
Ambitions Ravenna’s ambitions range from wanting to make the biggest splash at court with her friends, to wanting to make her family proud with her accomplishments. Unfortunately, those interests don’t often align.
Interests and Hobbies Everything her father will let her get her hands on. If it exists, Ravenna has dabbled in it at some point.

History The birth of the Egon Jotunnson II's first child with Queen Consort Gylla was a much celebrated and cherished day for all of Dromache. Had Ravenna been born male, she would have instantly become the Crown Prince of Dromache. As she was born female, the subject of whether she would be fit to rule would only be answered in much later.

Ravenna remembers very little of her very young years—only that perhaps when she was two, her nursery was often abuzz with nervous excitement. And that when she was a toddler her mother often held her and cried. Or trembled with anger.

And then a young man of 17 came to the palace to live with her family—a boy with eyes like hers, only angrier. She was told by her father that he was her half-brother, and that they would be family from now on.

Her mother and father were never quite the same after that.

But they were family. And Ravenna clung to her father’s words throughout her childhood and early teen years like a life vest, bonding with her half-brother Rorek, who she eventually charmed into tolerating her. The Crown Prince remains reluctantly fond of his younger sister.

Like any royal, she was schooled from a young age in what it meant to be a princess, to be responsible for all Dromache represented and protected, and what it meant to be heir to an entire Core World.

Currently, Ravenna has achieved the rank of Apprentice Scholar under her father’s direction in the hopes of advancing in the future. After all, Ravenna is often little more than her brother’s potential replacement.

Sometimes she doesn’t mind it. Other times, however, it is intolerable.
