Physical Description		Thin but wiry with muscle, Daneel is slightly taller than the average Dromachean male. Quick to smile, a boyish grin can almost always be seen splitting his handsome face. With wavy brown hair that sweeps back across his scalp and shines coppery red in the sun, it leaves his face bright and open, his clever green eyes always alighting on one thing after another—seemingly always in a state of polite fascination. His short ginger beard is all that adorns his face, save for the laugh lines around his eyes and mouth. His skin, while pale in places protected under his robe, is tanned along his forearms, face and neck from long hours under the various suns he toils under to study the beasts of the galaxy—alive or extinct.
Form of Dress		Being a man that changes his clothes according to climate of the next planet he ventures to study on, Daneel is almost never seen in the rich and expensive clothes befitting his noble station. And that’s perfectly fine with him, for Daneel is at ease in whatever robes will best protect him from the elements of his next fossil excavation, or whatever disguise will most cleverly camouflage him from the animal life he wishes to observe in their natural environment—that is, when he isn’t using his personal cloaking device. Of course, a droid could easily do the same job of observation, but if Daneel is anything, he’s a man that delights in doing things with his own hands.

General Overview		Quick to laughter and slow to anger, society darling Daneel is as earnest and open as he determined to live life as he wants to live it, without bothering anyone else. Yet beneath roguish smiles and easy laughs lies an intelligent, contemplative and soulful man, ever inquisitive and dedicated to the sciences and House Dreyfus’ duty to catalogue, study, and discover the animal beasts of the galaxy. Loyal to those he sees as family, Daneel loves fiercely—and would not take insult to those he loves kindly.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Comfortable and confident in everything that he does, Daneel is nevertheless unintentionally conceited at times, even entitled—through no fault of his own, of course. He was simply raised in an environment where he knew no want. When this off putting tendency rears its head (and when Daneel is self-conscious enough to realize it), Daneel tries his best to make amends for any offense caused. Hating, by nature, offending anyone. Being away from Dromache helps. He finds the political and court intrigue of Dromache tiresome, anyways. His affable and charming nature more than makes up for his shortcomings, however. For when Daneel smiles, suddenly it’s all OK.
Ambitions		Daneel wants to be happy, and finds he is most happy when he works, doing his duty as House Dreyfus’ heir, studying and cataloging the many birds, bugs and beasts of the galaxy—and discovering new ones along the way. Never one to want to be bogged down by politics or deceit, Daneel avoids Dromache when he can afford to. Power, never being one of his ambitions. He also seeks to protect the ones that he loves or those things he holds in esteem, such as the welfare of endangered animals, using his considerable wealth and influence to provide sanctuaries and habitats for various beasts on a wide number of planets.
Interests and Hobbies		Ever the biologist, Daneel is endlessly intrigued by the organisms of the galaxy and how the planet environment has influenced their evolutionary path—the little wonders of nature that biology sometimes accidents into creation, like Force sensitivity in animals, and the like. Daneel is interested in the study of every organism and their continued protection. Though a practical man, knowing he cannot do all things by himself, Daneel nevertheless tries his best to protect those others see to be sub-human in their worth—believing that the genius of nature’s evolutionary design in animals may yet hold useful application in everyday technology, providing a simple and elegant efficiency that the human mind may be incapable of innovating, quite yet.

Fighting Style		Though not one to fight, Daneel is still capable of defending himself. Finding more use in his everyday life in the field for a rifle (oh look! A charging reek!) rather than the traditional cortosis stave of Dromache, Daneel is nevertheless proficient in the staff’s use.
Notable Abilities		As needed to bring in live specimen’s for laboratory study, Daneel is quite a good shot with a long range rifle, though he does prefer to use tranquilizers rather than a blaster rifle—even when they’re set to stun. Daneel can also hold his own in a duel, armed with the Dreyfus cortosis staff, his strikes swift and strong.

History

Born into the powerful House Dreyfus as the firstborn son of Count Scholar Corvus Dreyfus, on the Redleaf Isle of Dromache, Daneel began life never knowing what it was to want for anything. Loved and cherished by both his parents, Daneel grew up admiring his father, who seemed to know everything there was to know about anything. Acheron Le’Shaad and Corvus Dreyfus, fathers of Morgo Le’Shaad and Daneel himself, met one day to broker a union between their offspring, intending on joining their two great Houses. And so, since they were but infants, Daneel and Morgo were betrothed, never formally meeting until they were children at school—he 11, she 7. His relationship with Morgo was prickly and antagonistic at first, but grew into something resembling friendship, becoming partners in crime in every scheme imaginable, never afraid to dabble or experiment in anything together. Daneel even conspired with Morgo in the kidnapping of his younger brother, Danfin, to avert imminent war between their two houses when Andraste Le’Shaad broke the betrothal between Daneel and Morgo and matched her daughter with Castinnius Fen instead— son of her lover, Markus Fen. The boy, Danfin, was eventually returned of course, but only after Daneel and Morgo had ensured that House Le’Shaad would return to House Dreyfus’ good graces again, and war would not be necessary—Morgo’s role in the kidnapping never coming to light, thanks to the duo’s combined efforts. And though Morgo is no longer his wife-to-be, his betrothal to her broken long ago by Andraste Le’Shaad, Morgo still holds a special place in his thoughts.
